In case anyone is curious if the kr1aa (v1 from Jackson) is durable, I just put mine through the washing machine–battery and all. Working perfectly fine, no issues yet.
I'm a little worried about the battery (vapcell h10). Everything appears to be dry. I'll monitor it closely, and keep an eye on it during the next charge.

If only it strobes inside. You could have had a neat show
new finish: clotheswashed
Clean 👌🏻
😜
I’ve done it twice to a convoy t6 and once an Olight i3t 2eos went through the drier, came out like a hot potato as I burned my fingers removing the battery but they work perfectly to this day.
I’ve noticed kr1aas require the most tightening of all lights I own to make battery contact, so I guess the water resistance is inherent to the design.
Seriously, every time I charge the battery it’s like I have to draw from hidden power within just to be able to screw the tailcap in, clean threads regardless!
Nice emitter choice, looks great! I don’t regret my SFT-70 5000k kr1aa, but 70ish CRI is, well..
One of my D3AAs took a dive in the laundry once and came out sparkling and extra fresh smelling ✨🪻🧺

Did your whites come out brighter?
On the plus side, it looks great!
The same happened to an USB-stick of mine.
2 hours, 60°C (140°f) and lots of rotations later it still worked like a charm.
What’s the emitter & CCT of your light?
My Wurkkos TS10 and Wuben G5 both went through the washer and dryer. Both still work just fine. The TS10 came out all banged up…but the G5 showed no cosmetic damage. I didn’t think the G5 was going to work anymore because of the open charge port…but it works just fine.
Coincidentally, both lights were green.
