I just got my first Victorinox spirit MX , and cut a thick wire. but i didnt know part of the cutters are for softer wire and I think I damaged them . The stick or grab a bit when I open and close them . Does anyone have a fix for this or can Victorinox fix them under warranty ?

So it probably won’t be repaired through warranty, the heavier duty multi tools usually have replaceable teeth for the pliers
I think they would warranty, heard they are good with warranty but haven’t had to use it. Just take a file to the inside of the cutter that is deformed to flatten it out and you’re good.
Send it to Victorinox. If it’s anything like the knives the repair cost is very reasonable.
I believe, that the wire cutters are functional and you won’t notice any difference next time gou use. Just use the back of the teeth next time, you are going to cut thicker stuff. The front part,is for thin wire, like thin copper cable etc.
This is about the only reason I haven’t got a Vic Spirit I’d rather have replaceable cutters and swap them out rather than the tool be damaged.
If you read the warranty it’s hard to say which way it’ll go. https://www.victorinox.com/en-US/Global-Lifetime-Plus-Limited-Warranty/cms/victorinox-lifetime-two-year-warranty/. There is a phone number for the repair shop online. You can call ahead to see if it’s covered before sending it.
I did the same shit lol
If you want to fix the catching when closing the pliers, file away the tiny bit of steel you pushed above the flat plane of the cutters Whan you tried to cut the wire.
Where’s the fanboys that claim these are indestructible?
This kind of damage would go unnoticed. I wouldn’t have seen it. I wouldn’t care to be honest
What thickness of wire are they meant for?
I always wonder because it used to be common to end up with wire cutters that had nicks in them. To me, that meant you just watched for the next sale. Or you’d just reach for wire cutters next time & keep using the other tools on the MT
Know your wire type before attempting to cut it.
Stainless steel isn’t a good cutting material as such seen.
