I got 20+ flashlights and some of them don't get used that often.
I was looking for a way to put them to use and while looking around the web I discovered this type of …powerbank carcass thing. I've seen it from multiple brands (including Xtar and Lumintop) with barely any visual differences, I got the one that was most accessible in my region.
This one is compatible with 18650 protected and 21700 both protected and unprotected. 18650 without protection are too short. It can take cells up to 78mm so even the new Fenix 6000mAh cell should fit.
It can charge two devices at once. The cover is magnetic. The pouch is a bit tight but you can squeeze one of the cables in there.
It came with a nice pack of accessories:
– pouch
– 4x rubber ring spacers for 18650 so they won't wiggle
– usb-a to usb-c cable
– usb-c to usb-c cable
– adapter (usb-c to lightning)
I didn't have much expectations from this thing rather than accepting the cells and sending the power out to my phone, so I like it.
I wanted to share it because I've noticed multiple users around here thinking about their unused cells as well. Maybe this will be of use to someone.
