Phone camera ruining the comparisons not withstanding, I think it still shows the performance.
Due to this being the 32W variant of the LumeX1 it's actually efficient enough that the normal ramp ceiling is entirely sustainable. It gets hot, but not in any capacity that I'd be concerned about and stays perfectly holdable for the duration I tested.
Turning it down to around 85% means no heat at all, and only a slight loss in brightness.
I'm also wondering if the particular 5000K FFL707A I got is a good bin, it seems to be incredibly neutral and comparing it to multiple other emitters in my collection I cannot find it to have any noticeable tint. Maybe slightly towards yellow but only when put side by side with a domed 5000K 519A. Either way I spent a good while staring at the colours because it feels incredible!
I do kind of miss the beam profile and extra throw I got using the FFL707MD instead, however.
