Hello all! I bought this knife off an older gentleman and his uncle served in the 2nd World War, and he mentioned to be that the handle was redone while on duty.
From looking at numerous pictures on the internet, this model knife has a guard on both sides of the knife. But this one specifically, is the only one that has a “half” guard or only on one side…
Is this a special model?

Nope, it’s just ground, when they said the handle was redone that does not mean in an official capacity, just an adequately skilled guy that wanted to customize the knife. Unfortunately there’s no real way to prove when it was done either.
