Thank you to Maxace for having 3rd party testing done. It appears they are working on improving the heat treatment of their MagnaCut blades to a much better hardness range. 62.4 is perfectly acceptable to me. This is precisely what this project is all about, pushing manufacturers to improve the quality of their products so we the consumers get what we are paying for.
Maxace’s machine conforms to the Chinese equivalent of the American ASTM E18 and international ISO 6508 standards. This is perfectly acceptable to me, and greatly appreciated from Maxace.
Going forward I would be more than willing to work with them if they would like assistance on anything related to this.
Thanks!

Maxace is one of the coolest chinese manufacturers in my opinion, and I love their designs. Your work is greatly appreciated+
Nice great to know!
Funny we have to have third party tests with pictures showing results otherwise we don’t trust anything. Remember the days of truth and integrity? Wait that’s never been the case
This is exactly why we need people like you.
And good on Maxace! I’m hoping to pick up one of their new fixed blades and OTFs soon, especially after seeing this.
Also, I’d like to point out that the very first punch on their verification block was a bit lower than the next 2. This is something I have been pointing out is **extremely normal** on Rockwell hardness machines. And is a great example of why a single punch on a single blade is nowhere near good enough.
This is good to see! Your hard work is making a difference my friend!
