Some time ago I got a cheap flashlight (on the right) for everyday use and I was pretty happy about it except for an issue with its interface. It would always turn on on the next mode (which go high, medium, low, strobe and SOS) and it was pretty annoying every time I had to turn it on.

Also some time ago I discovered this sub and it quickly became one of my favourites on Reddit. So I decided to upgrade to something easier to use and possibly better performing.

After some research I decided to go for a Sofirn SC33. Mainly because it was using the same 21700 size batteries as I was using with the old one (and I had like 4 of the Samsung 5000mah cells). And the insane lumen rating of 5200 for which I have no practical use. It would be smarter to go for a wurkkos one, since it had the ability to work as a powerbank but the curiosity of what the power of this one would look like got the better of me.

I was expecting a light that would have better interface and be more powerful but I wasn't quite expecting how much I would like the thing. The beam is much more pleasant to the eyes, being more warm and not having harsh edges (and more uniform colour). The clip is also a must as it turns out. And the power is just silly. I mostly use it on low/medium. And high/turbo is mostly for showing off or having a laugh at night. Thing's like a high beam in a car.

The Sofirn SC33 earned it's place in my edc and is used when the power is out and while my work flood light (cinepeer cm25) recharges (2nd pic). And I am excited to be a part of this wholesome community.
