I think I stripped the holes in the liner where the pocket clip screws go. I can’t get the stock screws or aftermarket ones to work, they just spin. The scales aren’t too thick or anything either so I’m not sure what to do, any suggestions?
Is it possible that you just need to insert another Torx in the opposite side and keep it from rotating? If this isn’t the problem then you probably stripped the stand-off tubes not the liners. The liners aren’t threaded.

Sorry, I missed the pocket clip screws part 🤦🏻♂️.
I believe that the scales themselves have a threaded insert, not the liners. (You might have meant that now that I read it again.) Buy new scales or thicker screws (that will still fit in your pocket clip holes) Here is a pic of some disassembled para 3 aftermarket scales – same idea (scroll through the pics to see it) for reference.[https://appliedweaponstech.com/products/spyderco-para-3-skinny-scales-cerakote](https://appliedweaponstech.com/products/spyderco-para-3-skinny-scales-cerakote)

Maybe the liner isn’t tight against the inside of the scale. And the screw isn’t long enough to reach the threads. Take a small flat screwdriver and force the liner towards the scale while screwing the clip screw.

Looking at the lanyard tube it doesn’t look like the scale is all the way on or tight against the liner.
