S35VN steel and carbon fiber USA made axis/crossbar lock, so good materials for the price. Amazon has it for a tad more, reviews there are generally good with some not liking the thumb studs or pocket clip. My favorite crossbar lock knives are Chinese – Geo or Kunwu, but I’m glad Schrade is still in the knife business.

I have one of their USA made d2 models. Called “slyte”. It was heavily discounted to $28 from $80. I’ll be honest. It’s worth the clearance price. Not bad. Great knife in fact. But it firmly holds a $40 price tag compared to import of similar. Do I trust mine? Yes. Is it my daily? Far from. Because it is a sticky flipper

I see Schrade is trying to become relevant again. Lol
Is it a good knife? I’m sure it’s fine and will probably do what you ask it to, but there’s way better knives out there in that price range. Example: For about $10 less, you could get the Kershaw Bel Air or Hogue Deka in Magnacut. Other cheaper knives in S35VN would be a Spyderco Tenacious, Cold Steel Recon 4, or SOG Seal XR. Schrade isn’t a bad company, there’s just better stuff available for less money.
