Hey guys so I’m well into my knife collecting hobby now but about 5 years ago I have to admit they got me with this scam before I knew anything about knives or had even looked into them. I’m a lineman by trade as is my dad and hawkbills are an important part of our tool list. Most people just use cheap electrical trade knives from Klein or Milwaukee so when I seen these I loved the design. To me it looked legit the name of the website Texas lineman knives I thought oh some retired lineman in Texas is making knives now and I picked two of them up without much thought for me and my dad.
They arrived str8 from Pakistan they didn’t even try to hide it lol. Still yet not knowing any better I gave it to my dad and went on to use mine when I realized I could literally bend the blade in half with my hand had to call and tell my dad about it kinda embarrassed I had bought us cheap shit but that started my knife collection. I later realized how large the pakisteel scam is and how many people get got.
Anyone else use hawkbills regularly or have any solid recommendations? I’ve seen some legit hand made options since then I just haven’t pulled the trigger.
