The image is just to grab your attention, it shows the steps I took to get my metal button lighted switch Convoy S2+ to tailstand. I'll add more details in a comment.
I have a handful of flashlight questions and thought I'd combine them into one post. Please feel free to answer as many or as few as you want, thank you in advance to anyone who replies π
What emitter and tint is the best choice for a lovely nice quality of light? It'd be mainly for using around the house at night, tailstanding at the ceiling rather than turning on ceiling lights, just to give myself a nicer quality of light. From what I've read I'm thinking maybe B35AM? Currently I use a 3500K 519a for this purpose and do enjoy it, but I'd like to go a bit warmer I think.
I currently use a Convoy T6 SFT25R for night runs, paired with a Wurkkos HD03 to light the ground immediately in front. Is there another option that is still fairly compact, giving a similar throw to the T6 but with a much wider spill to light the ground immediately in front? I currently use the HD03 clipped to waistband, I think this is better than a headlamp because it makes unevenness on the trail more visible.
While I don't think a headlamp fits my use case for running, I would like to have one to try out the form factor, and to use around the garden. Is the Convoy H1 or H4 a good choice? I've seen Sofirn HS21 as the most recommended headlamp, but the tint seems very cold for my taste. Also a semi-related observation, I find it noteworthy that 'warm' tints are several thousand kelvin colder than 'cool' tints π€
I'd like to swap the emitter of my pineapple mini to a warmer tint 519a, is there any way to achieve this without having soldering equipment and skills? Or is soldering not as difficult as it seems?
My understanding is that some emitters are inherently more throwy because a smaller emitting surface will geometrically be concentrated by the reflector into a smaller hotspot. So does using a TIR cancel out the inherent floodiness or throwiness of an emitter?

Iβll talk a bit about #3:
I have a Sofirn HS21 and a Convoy H1 519A 4000k. I got the H1 out of curiosity because I never had an angled light. While itβs a well built, nice product, it seems that Iβm not really into angled ones. Sofirn HS21 has better weight distribution, itβs more comforable, the red light is very useful in the garden because it does not attract bugs and in some late evenings If I see bugs bothering me, I just switch to red. The option to quickly switch between flood and throw is also nice, by the way the flood is warmer than the throw.
To get the S2+ with metal switch to tailstand I added thicker o-rings following a suggestion from another user here, I’ll update this comment if I can find who. I ended up adding two o-rings that at a guess look about 0.8-1.0mm or so thick, and also the included convoy o-ring.Β
With the thicker o-rings it is basically impossible to press-fit the button through by hand, and without the button pushed through its basically impossible to get the retaining ring any purchase on the thread if there’s a lighted switch underneath. So I added an intermediary step of screwing in the retaining ring with the default metal washer underneath, just to get enough force to be able to push the button through with the thicker o-rings around it. Then with the button pushed though (but not as far through as it would normally go), it’s possible to screw in the retaining ring with a lighted switch under it, I just had to press down very firmly when screwing it in so that it could get the initial purchase on the threads.Β
Through all of this my retaining ring got pretty scuffed up and there were several flakes of brass all around the inside from where the pliers slipped. I think some of these were bypassing the switch at some point but after cleaning them out it works fine.Β
