I bought a Benchmade Bushcrafter when they were on sale for $250 last month. Its the higher-end version version of the Bushcrafter with carbon fiber handle scales and a molded sheath. I like that it's in Cruwear but I wish it had a satin blade to put it more in the classic Buck/Cold Steel aesthetic that I love. The carbon fiber handle does really pop in the light. It doesn't look like a black tactical slab in real life. The handle is an absolute overbuilt brick. Super contoured and comfortable despite how big and square the handle looks. The 'button' on the sheath pops the knife out so smoothly. Very nice knife for $250. We'll see how much it gets used, if ever, for actual knife tasks. I've got other similar knives that are close in size that were way cheaper to use for knife tasks. If it was $450, I'd be way more reluctant to use it. It looks and feels really good though.

When I first saw it a store they were asking over $500. I have the earlier model with green scales.

Anyway, that’s a great score. No way I’d pay the full price, for $250 is pretty killer.
