what’s this, now?

i’ve inherited this some years ago. no history or nothing came with it. so now i’m wondering if anyone know this type. as far as i’ve been able to tell, it has the same handle-thing design as some military uk and us WWII knives, but haven’t been able to find anything about this particular model. thanks!
