I was given this knife by my uncle last night, he’s not the original owner, sounds like some guy gave it to him a while back.

I did some research on the knife to figure out what exactly I’m looking at but im still unclear. sounds like these knives are counterfeited often so im interested in finding out if it is or not. I’m not really a knife guy but I’m particular about my stuff and I don’t want to rely on some fake Chinese shit. Seems like a sweet knife though.

sounds like they may be great knives or may be overrated, information is super unclear. And something about a waitlist to buy them and being collector items? Just hoping to find some objective information.

looks pretty well used, beat up and dirty, am I good to use gun solvent to clean this up or should I use something else?

Not a expert with Esee but comparing to one I own and ones I’ve handled that looks legit most clones I’ve seen use different logos or the coating on the blade is different and the handle appears to be micarta which is what esee uses and the sheath looks legitimate. So form that I’d assume this is a real esee 6 in 1095 high carbon steel. The rusting on the engraving and edge happened on my real esee 3 after gutting a deer it comes with being high carbon. Great knives absolute beasts with the best warranty ever.

Break it and send it to Esee. If they replace it then it’s a legit one.
