I haven’t bought a new multitool for a few years and found a P2 I forgot about that I got from eBay for $50 circa 2022, and decided to put it in one of my gun gear bags. I try to avoid needing the proprietary bit driver that my wave and charge uses for these bags if possible and ended up finding a hex bit driver on Etsy.
It’s decent, does the job intended, and was a direct drop in.l, and figured I should get another one for my other bag. This is when I found out the P2/P4 is no longer in production and my only option similar is the ARC. Searching Amazon, I saw that Bibury makes a version of what my P2 basically is now… at almost the same price price I bought the bit driver.
Is the Bibury good to go? It’s not like I’m auditioning to be casted on Alone or anything too extreme, the tool would be used more in outdoor shooting course/range settings, primarily with heavy use of the driver, wire cutters, and pliers.

That bibury is a clone of the Leatherman Surge so yea it’ll get the job done. Bits are double sided but with the addition of a small magnet you can use the single sided 1/4″ bits with it. You can also check out the Leatherman MUT its designed to be an AR maintenance tool
They are cheaper than that price but there all the same just rebadged brands
I have the same model made by daicamping. There are 3 things to consider. First, and for some people most important, these are intentional clones. They are getting as close as possible to the Leatherman models without getting sued. If you care about IP this may be a concern for you and for many it’s a deal breaker. If not then do you care about warranty? Leatherman has a bulletproof warranty on their products for the most part, repaired my broken jaws with no questions etc. this will not be the case for the other ones. Finally, mods: my daicamping dealer was more than happy to sell me parts, and they were the price you’d expect them to be as a percentage of the purchase price of the tool, not the price of a new tool (I replaced blades and bought a spare t shank holder to try to add to a different tool, they were like 7 and 12 dollars not 75). If you’re into modding or want to try something you’re not sure about, you could buy one of these and the parts to mod it for less than just the mod you’re thinking about adding to your Leatherman. I have not noticed a significant difference in performance, and I actually carry my daicamping more often because I’m less worried about losing it and it’s now custom to exactly how I want it set up. But they are clones so just be aware going into it.
