I recently picked up this HK OTF and I noticed that the switch is much harder to open and close than every other OTF I have tried. It hurts your thumb after constantly doing it. Is there any way to make the action smoother/ lighter? I have opened and closed easily over 200 times, and have used gun oil and wd-40- nothing.

Probably not.
It’s because of spring tension not because it’s unlubricated, sometimes it gets a bit easier over time but typically it’s just gonna be that way. Idk much about that brand tho, I would have gotten a microtech or maybe a Kershaw
My new Utx-85s always suck from the beginning. But they get incredibly smooth over time. The new hera 2 my wife got me for Christmas felt insanely buttery by comparison. Just rock it and it’ll smooth out.
