So my brother got me this sweet knife for Xmas, but I am a little confused about the sheath. I get the belt loop, but why is there another loop of leather around the middle? Is it just decorative, or does it serve a purpose? I'm hoping it's not something obvious and I'm just a dumbass lol.

Horizontal carry?
Maybe it’s for an appendix carry.
It’s also a belt loop. Gives options for how you like to wear it.
Maybe a fire steel?
Scout carry is what it’s called when put on your belt horizontally.
