What was originally supposed to be a post praising my new LW after running it through a few whitetails turned into a mild grief post.
I recently got this from BladeHQ on an excellent deal. I absolutely love the knife, it is LW almost to a fault! So much so that my hand briefly forgot it was holding an object while cleaning it. The first photo was taken right after the final cuts of the season. The second is after I fumbled it straight into my metal sink…landing tip-first 🙃

That will take 4 seconds to correct. Don’t bother to keep it perfect, clearly you use it for its intended purpose, it won’t be the last mark on it.
I’d say you got away with it entirely! Time for the first sharpening
When I started sharpening I used to round my tips worse than that chip. It’ll come right out
Easy fix! My Para 2 salt has melted through a few whitetail. Just shot this one the on the 5th of this month. 14 point. Scored 170″
