It’s been open season on Wave and Surge clones, but nobody, not even Leatherman, makes a Crunch equivalent.
It makes a lot of sense to me to bring this back since there is nothing like it out there. Also, the patents are expired, so any other company can make it. You’re not taking away any sales since Leatherman doesn’t sell it anymore.

I’ve got one it’s the best multitool period
it just needs a knife blade not serrated though I’m too scared to edc mine now as I can’t get a replacement so waiting on them to reproduce it again

May I ask for an externally accessible and non cerated blade ?

  3. Dakoyu said they would release a crunch inspired tool

I know it’s not the same thing but I tried out the nextool w2 for a the hell of it and I’m very impressed with how good it is for it’s size.

Leatherman pay attention. We all want it back.

Please explain to me anyone how is it desirable. What can you do with Crunch that you can’ do with Wave.

    Genuinely asking.

I would pay a ridiculous amount of money for a Powerpint sized Crunch!

I feel like people are only nostalgic about the Crunch because it’s relatively rare these days. They were a slow seller when they were available and my local dealer practically gave one to me when I was buying other tools.
Hopefully if it ever gets cloned, they’ll beef it up, maybe make it slightly larger too.

It got disco’ed cause it wasn’t selling. Its gone for that reason. Now that its gone, suddenly everyone wants one.

Crunch alpha>? Switch the screwdriver out.

Why would Leatherman bring back a tool they couldn’t give away for years?

I have one I don’t use. Would be interested in some sort of trade with some multi tools with outside blades.

Combine Crunch with either Super Tool or best features of Surge ( read : leave tiny screwdriver n scissors far far away & off ) and its perfect. Mix a bit of Kershaw and Sog Tool Clip to it.

True 1/4″ driver + partially or fully serrated single blade + diamond 2/3 side file + #2 PH + medium flathead + saw exchanger from Surge.
If space allows,a place for one or two bits ( maybe in sheath that has tough leather, rivets and very reliable snap button flap ) + can opener ,claw type.

    Rather needlenosed plierhead.

    Around 6″ closed length.

Rugged,as keyword,no magnets to collect metal dust gunk, assembled so that consumer can open it with no special tools but so that doing so,warranty vanishes.
