I normally swear by Leatherman and Victorinox multitools. Gerber tools never impressed me.
I only owned one Gerber tool before purchasing this Dime. It is an Armbar 8-in-1 Drive and I consider that more of a pocket knife.
I saw a couple of YouTube videos about the Dime, which piqued my curiosity. When I saw it on sale for approximately $21 I could not resist and I have to say I am not disappointed. It seems well-made and the tool selection, folded into a three-inch makes it a useful and easily carried mini tool.
I am unsure if I will carry it everyday, but am considering letting it sit in my pocket for a bit while zi try it out.

I’ve just bought one to have on my keys
Even though I knew the measurements it is tiny, but spot on for what I need it for, very light, occasional use in the office
I just got this one recently it’s a knock off version: [https://www.amazon.com/VIRENKNIFE-Multitool-Multitool%EF%BC%8CGifts-Knife%EF%BC%8CScrewdrivers%EF%BC%8CBottle-Opener%EF%BC%8CPerfect/dp/B0FJSL8SN9/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=235SXP5ARYY0N&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.qpE4I03vB4KmbNARA_4PCaxCHIxqaanCeZ7_v2ffaV7cZ6EARg2yTiRMQ99wBQdAUz-zFkldOtN2921xU3VWUG5MnNzI8K_0kcPwj6Ql1OBj-3K1I0wokdPg3V8ubzsMfl3T1BeT3jnlRkRMXYitQxvzy6G22ldeGHskXo1SPL-EcBaO4WdmrCoW_IsK0crKeA_cnLyGtHsFpqvq1iY9bPXNeUH4aCCiTW2MnC9opm_cezbzfCtf7XAGERwCf3-xCeJVP1IQvBKeIbhdsLLx1i6MNe3nlkwkqwckttRRBkQ.xg1LXf9YadLIOs5g0dHG-Ad3T80Qs2OpUo73Jd9wuqY&dib_tag=se&keywords=Virenknife&qid=1764526692&sprefix=virenknife%2Caps%2C130&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1](https://www.amazon.com/VIRENKNIFE-Multitool-Multitool%EF%BC%8CGifts-Knife%EF%BC%8CScrewdrivers%EF%BC%8CBottle-Opener%EF%BC%8CPerfect/dp/B0FJSL8SN9/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=235SXP5ARYY0N&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.qpE4I03vB4KmbNARA_4PCaxCHIxqaanCeZ7_v2ffaV7cZ6EARg2yTiRMQ99wBQdAUz-zFkldOtN2921xU3VWUG5MnNzI8K_0kcPwj6Ql1OBj-3K1I0wokdPg3V8ubzsMfl3T1BeT3jnlRkRMXYitQxvzy6G22ldeGHskXo1SPL-EcBaO4WdmrCoW_IsK0crKeA_cnLyGtHsFpqvq1iY9bPXNeUH4aCCiTW2MnC9opm_cezbzfCtf7XAGERwCf3-xCeJVP1IQvBKeIbhdsLLx1i6MNe3nlkwkqwckttRRBkQ.xg1LXf9YadLIOs5g0dHG-Ad3T80Qs2OpUo73Jd9wuqY&dib_tag=se&keywords=Virenknife&qid=1764526692&sprefix=virenknife%2Caps%2C130&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1)
I have one. Occasionally useful, though the file is unuseably short for unsharpening fingernails. Also the screwdrivers don’t reach into some sunken screws. Still, worth keeping in my work backpack.
It is Highly underrated .🦉
Gerber has great ideas but very poor execution. Try the Nextool S11 Pro.
Love mine! Got it last year.
An excellent choice! One of the few Gerber tools that defeats its Leatherman counterpart.
The dime’s “package opener” blade is, by far, my most-used multitool implement.
It really has a great design and size. The implementation is just ugly. It is like a toy. Pretty to look at. But when you use the pliers on anything, it will break. The design is not meant to last. The metal thickness on the pivot is like the thickness of soda can sheet metal.
