I wanted to share with you my first creation. I forged this knife out of some 1084 steel stock. You can see the hammer blows and a lot of pitting. This is due to my inexperience as well as the lack of machines to grind everything out.
I had filed everything and sanded down to 3000 grit to have a nice polish. I still have a lot of scratches but I’m very happy. After this knife I made myself a file jig for future work.
I will gift this knife to my grandfather, as he taught me how to forge!
