The Ram 1500 TRX may be back as an SRT, but its predecessor continues to get most of the spotlight for all kinds of reasons. In this case, the pictured example has obviously been visited by the tuning fairy, and it’s only a few machine guns away from looking like it’s ready to deploy freedom.

The sand-looking machine come directly form SoFlo Customs’ portfolio, and it’s not exactly a brand new project. But then again, it does not claim to be. It’s called the Omega Rex Edition, and it is searching for a new home in the United States of America as we speak, and as you can assume, it is not exactly a bargain.

More on the Benjamins in a few moments, as first, we have to tell you about the modifications of this Ram 1500 TRX. The vehicle immediately stands out due to its beige exterior, which is either a wrap or a paint job, though we lean on the latter rather than the former. It features a new bumper at the front that seems to have been made of steel. A steel plaque can be seen below, so that this ride can conquer the great outdoors more easily.

The front grille is not new, but instead of the Ram emblem, it now features a War logo. There are extra lights mounted in the middle of the bumper, and the hood looks like it hasn’t been altered. The same goes for the wheel arch trims, though these components have been finished (or wrapped) in the same color as the rest of the body. The War logo also decorated the tailgate, and the rear bumper does not seem to have come from the aftermarket world.

This Ram 1500 TRX sits a bit higher off the ground due to the new lift kit that is part of the makeover. The wheels measure 14×24 inches in size on both axles, and they were shod in very chunky tires for enhanced traction off the lit path. Power retractable side steps are also on deck, and so is the chase rack with extra lights for better vision at night. Some components feature a black look, but not the alloys, as the concave set, with its Y-spoke design, sports a color similar to the truck’s exterior.

Opening the door reveals the stock interior, and since we wanted to make sure that it is indeed stock, we jumped over to SoFlo Customs’ official website, which indeed reveals that the cockpit of this Ram 1500 TRX hasn’t been touched with the tuning stick. The pictured example features black leather upholstery, some Alcantara in the middle of the center armrest, some white stitching here and there for a bit of contrast, the TRX emblem embroidered into the seatbacks, right below the headrests, and a large panoramic roof, among other things.

The engine is also stock, and this means 702 horsepower (712 ps/524 kW) and 650 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque directed to the four-wheel drive system through an eight-speed automatic transmission. With zero outside intervention, the Ram 1500 TRX takes only 4.5 seconds to hit 60 mph (97 kph) from rest. The standing quarter-mile takes just under 13 seconds on a good day, and if you keep the right pedal pinned to the floor, then the model will eventually run out of breath at 118 mph (190 kph).

As for the newer Ram 1500 SRT TRX, it has 777 horsepower (788 ps/580 kW) on tap from an upgraded version of the same 6.2-liter supercharged V8. The thrust is now rated at 680 pound-feet (921 Nm), and the model brags about hitting 60 mph (97 kph) in 3.5 seconds. That’s a full second faster than its predecessor. The top speed, however, has remained unchanged, and the spec sheet reveals that the standing quarter mile is dealt with in 12.2 seconds, and that’s impressive given that this is still a workhorse.

If you want a Ram 1500 TRX, then you will have to prepare a minimum of $60,000. That sum would get you a high-mileage and earlier model year example, whereas an average one can cost up to $85,000 in today’s used car market. The Final Edition and other versions of the truck can still pull in over $100,000. As for the 1500 SRT TRX, you are looking at a minimum of $99,995, so that’s a six-digit figure after factoring in the destination charge and dealer fees.

Now, we promised we’d reveal the asking price of the pictured example “in a few moments,” and that time has come. This vehicle can be yours if you are willing to pay $120,499.99. Details surround the model year and the mileage haven’t been released at the time of writing, but we are certain the vendor, which is also the tuner, will reveal them upon reaching out to them. So, is this modded Ram 1500 TRX worth the money?
