When it comes to car flipping and turning a profit, there are more than a few surefire ways of achieving your goal. It really depends on budget and what type of “return on investment” you’re looking for. It also depends on how long you’re willing to wait. Of course, if you’re the proud owner of an F-150 Raptor R and you’re looking to sell, you don’t need to worry about a specific timetable. You can make a good buck effective immediately.
You know what helps with staving off depreciation? When there’s a shortage of supply to go with a buyer demographic with relatively deep pockets. The F-150 Raptor R is more than just a fast pickup truck. It’s a high-performance vehicle the likes of which you’d be hard pressed to replicate. I’m sorry, Stellantis fans, but the Raptor R is simply better than the Ram 1500 TRX.
It’s also way more collectible than any Cybertruck or Rivian R1T spec. As for other fast trucks, the 1500 RHO or Silverado ZR2 can’t really keep up with the Ford.
Basically, this is a halo product, and its fundamental appeal will endure in the long term. We’ll always want a fast, V8-powered pickup with solid off-road ability and plenty of modern tech. I can imagine people driving one of these beauties several decades from now and enjoying them as much as we’re enjoying them today. It’ll be the equivalent of driving a 1969 Mustang Boss 429 in 2026, more or less.
Regarding this particular Raptor R, it’s a MY26 truck with only 152 miles on the clock. It was purchased new for $116,040 by the same person who recently sold it at auction for $129,000, plus a buyer’s fee. This isn’t the first Raptor R to turn a profit, and it most certainly won’t be the last.
Aside from its Avalanche exterior, this truck also comes with a dual-panel panoramic sunroof, running boards, LED headlights, Rigid LED fog lights, side mirror lights, a receiver hitch, plus a set of Beadlock-capable 17″ forged wheels rocking BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires. Meanwhile, the bed was outfitted with a Tough Bed spray-in bedliner, cargo lighting, and a power-retractable RealTruck tonneau cover.

Moving along to the interior, highlights include the Black Alcantara and leather bucket seats (heated/ventilated), a heated 60/40 split-folding rear bench, orange accents, a 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, a 360-degree camera system, carbon fiber trim, a wireless charging pad, heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and a wide range of electronic driver aids.
As for performance, this thing packs a supercharged 5.2-liter Predator V8 (not unlike what you’d find in a Mustang GT500), pushing a factory rating of 720 horsepower and 640 lb-ft of torque. Everything gets routed to the rear or all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission.
