9This Ford F-100 is 70-year-old Ford F-100 has aged like fine wine thanks to a visual and mechanical makeover. The truck comes with a Blue Print V8 engine, nearly 400 horsepower, a Ford Thunderbird dashboard, and a Chevy Corvette suspension and rear end.
This 1956 Ford F-100 rocks an intense shade of Metallic Blue and rides on factory-style hubcap wheels with wide, grippy tires to handle the oomph of the V8 from under the hood that is hinged at the front. Speaking of which, a 355-cubic-inch Blue Print V8 with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor sits under the hood.
The power plant pumps out roughly 390 horsepower, fed from an aluminum tank. A three-speed TH350 automatic transmission puts the power down through a Chevy Corvette rear end with a 3:07:01 gear ratio and positraction. Power discs all around provide the stopping power, while the car is equipped with a rack-and-pinion power steering.
The listing on the Vanguard Motors Sales website mentions white tires, which is not the case for this truck, but it probably is from some other. This one right here obviously left its workhorse past behind for a life in the spotlight.

A blue wood-lined cargo bed, which looks absolutely beautiful (can you even say that about a cargo bed?), and a chrome grille are also on the menu, and so are the blue-painted inner fenders, showing that the restomodding was carried out with no expense spared. Steel running boards make climbing inside less complicated.
The cabin continues the simple approach of the exterior. Blu leather covers the bench seat, matching the blue carpeting, blue door panels, and blue dashboard. A new headliner made its way on board, while a Ford Thunderbird dashboard integrates factory-style gauges.
In the meantime, a Chevrolet Impala steering wheel frames the odometer that reads 36,373 miles (58,537 kilometers). After this transformation, which was actually a frame-off restoration, it surely has plenty of life in it.
Built on a custom boxed frame, the pickup truck sits on the C4 Corvette suspension up front and features an independent suspension out back. A dual-pipe exhaust with factory-style mufflers roars out all the drama of the V8 from under the hood.

Whoever falls in love with this 70-year-old truck can go home with it if they are willing to pay $139,900. Vanguard Motors offers shipping around the world and also financing, so the future owner can pay $1,169 per month for the next 15 years with a 20% down payment.
That is a lot considering that the average market price for a 1956 Ford F-100 ranges from $30,000 to $65,000, with project cars selling for under $10,000. High-end restomods can go well above $100,0000. In the meantime, the Ford F-150 Raptor R is a $114,420 deal.
Back in January, Vanguard Motors listed a similar F-100, also finished in Metallic Blue, but sporting more chrome and a black leather interior, for $159,900. It looks like the classic truck market has gone through the roof this year. Back in the day, Ford sold the F-100 for a starting price of $1,580. Adjusted to inflation, that would make approximately $18,000 today. Not even the upcoming Fathom is that cheap.
