We have seen it plenty of times over the years. A new model year gets announced, order guides start making their way to dealers, trucks begin showing up in the ordering system, and sometimes production is already getting underway before the consumer configurator finally catches up.
That has once again been the case with the 2027 Ram 1500 (DT).
But the wait is finally over.
Ram has now updated its online Build & Price configurator for the 2027 Ram 1500, giving customers a much better look at the latest half-ton lineup. Buyers can finally start clicking through trims, engines, colors, equipment groups, wheels, interior combinations, and other available options before heading into their local Ram dealer.
And for 2027, there is a lot more going on than simply a couple of new colors and reshuffled option packages.

What’s New For 2027?
The biggest news is the continued expansion of the Ram 1500 lineup. Ram is adding more equipment to some of its most popular trims, expanding powertrain choices, bringing back more color, and returning the supercharged TRX as an official SRT model.
Ram is also launching the all-new Rumble Bee street-performance family for 2027. However, the Rumble Bee models have not been added to the Ram 1500 Build & Price configurator yet, so buyers won’t find them alongside the regular DT trim walk at the moment.
Here’s a quick look at what’s new:
All-new Ram 1500 Rumble Bee lineup with four street-performance variants and three different HEMI® V8 powertrains
New widebody Quad Cab with a 5-foot 7-inch bed developed for the Rumble Bee family

Engine Choices For 2027
One of the strongest parts of the 2027 Ram 1500 lineup is the amount of powertrain choice Ram now offers. Buyers can still get the proven Pentastar V6, move into either version of the twin-turbo Hurricane I6, or choose HEMI V8 power on select trucks. The returning TRX SRT and upcoming Rumble Bee family stretch that engine lineup even further.
3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with eTorque – 305 horsepower and 269 lb.-ft. of torque
3.0-liter Hurricane Standard-Output (S.O.) – 420 horsepower and 469 lb.-ft. of torque
3.0-liter Hurricane High-Output (H.O.) – 540 horsepower and 521 lb.-ft. of torque
5.7-liter HEMI® V8 – 395 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. of torque in regular Ram 1500 applications
6.4-liter HEMI V8 – joins the lineup through upcoming Rumble Bee performance models
Supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI HELLCAT V8 – 777 horsepower and 680 lb.-ft. of torque in the TRX SRT and Rumble Bee SRT
For 2027, trucks equipped with the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 eTorque can also be ordered with a 2 kW onboard power system, which supplies electricity through two 120-volt outlets mounted in the pickup bed.
More Colors For 2027
Ram is also starting to put some personality back into the Ram 1500 color chart. Several familiar colors remain, but the big news is the arrival of a new shade, the return of an old favorite, and wider availability of Tank.
Goldilocks Pearl-Coat – new for 2027 with late availability on select models
Flame Red Clear-Coat – returns with late availability
Tank Clear-Coat – expands to more Ram 1500 configurations
Other available colors, depending on trim, include Bright White, Diamond Black, Granite Crystal, Silver Zynith, Hydro Blue, Forged Blue, Molten Red, Serrano Green, and Ivory White Tri-Coat
Specialty models such as the Rumble Bee and TRX SRT add their own model-specific color choices
2027 Ram 1500 Pricing
The prices below include Ram’s current $2,795 destination charge.
2027 Ram 1500 Tradesman Crew Cab 4×4 in Bright White. (Ram).
Tradesman – Starting At $45,370
The Tradesman remains the workhorse of the Ram 1500 family.
Starting at $45,370 including destination, it is the least expensive way into a new 2027 Ram 1500 and continues to focus on buyers who need a truck first and luxury features second.
The 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with eTorque remains the starting point, while additional engine and drivetrain combinations are available depending on configuration.
For 2027, Tradesman models equipped with the Pentastar can also take advantage of the newly available 2-kW onboard power system.
Tradesman also receives Ram’s new Satin Black Symbol of Protest fender badge, giving even the work-oriented truck another small visual detail for the new model year.
2027 Ram 1500 Express Crew Cab 4×4 in Granite Crystal. (Ram).
Express – Starting At $47,495
The Express sits just above Tradesman and gives buyers a more street-oriented appearance without making a huge jump in price.
Starting at $47,495 with destination, the Express continues to make sense for somebody who wants a relatively affordable Ram 1500 but doesn’t necessarily want the fleet-truck appearance of a Tradesman.
The Black Express package continues to give the truck a more aggressive monochromatic appearance, and for 2027 Black Express models also receive the new Satin Black Symbol of Protest badge.
Express remains one of the more interesting value plays in the lineup because it gives buyers plenty of room to personalize the truck without immediately pushing into Big Horn or Laramie money.
2027 Ram 1500 Big Horn Crew Cab 4×4 in Flame Red. (Ram).
Big Horn – Starting At $50,625
The Big Horn remains one of the most important trims in the Ram lineup.
Starting at $50,625 including destination, Big Horn has traditionally been the sweet spot for customers who want more comfort and technology than a basic work truck but don’t need to spend Laramie or Limited money.
For 2027, Big Horn Crew Cab trucks equipped with the Level 2 Equipment Group add passive entry, bringing one of the more useful everyday convenience features to one of Ram’s highest-volume configurations.
Big Horn also continues to offer a wide variety of appearance packages, powertrains, cab combinations, and other options, making it one of the easiest trims to configure exactly the way you want.
2027 Ram 1500 Warlock Crew Cab 4×4 in Goldilocks. (Ram).
Warlock – Starting At $56,210
The Warlock becomes even more interesting for 2027.
Ram is now offering the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with eTorque as the entry-level Warlock engine, creating a lower-cost way into the company’s factory off-road lineup.
The Warlock continues to feature 33-inch tires, a one-inch raised ride height, lifted suspension, Bilstein® performance-tuned shocks, and the tougher exterior appearance that separates it from the Big Horn.
It also receives the new Satin Black Symbol of Protest badge for 2027.
For buyers who want some real off-road hardware without spending Rebel money, the Warlock continues to make a lot of sense.
2027 Ram 1500 Laramie Sport Crew Cab 4×4 in Granite Crystal. (Ram).
Laramie – Starting At $64,675
The Laramie continues to bridge the gap between Ram’s mainstream trucks and its full-blown luxury models.
Starting at $64,675 including destination, Laramie offers upgraded interior materials, more technology, and a much more premium overall feel while still retaining the character of a traditional pickup.
For 2027, rain-sensing windshield wipers become standard equipment.
Ram is also expanding availability of its 360-degree surround-view camera system. For the first time, Laramie customers can add the system through the Level 1 Equipment Group.
That is a worthwhile addition on a full-size truck, especially when parking in tight spaces, maneuvering around trailers, or working in crowded job sites.
2027 Ram 1500 Rebel X Crew Cab 4×4 in Forged Blue. (Ram).
Rebel – Starting At $68,640
The Rebel remains Ram’s traditional off-road-focused half-ton.
Starting at $68,640 including destination, Rebel combines a one-inch factory lift, 33-inch tires, Bilstein performance-tuned shocks, skid plates, and aggressive styling with an interior comfortable enough for everyday use.
For 2027, Ram is giving Rebel customers access to the 360-degree surround-view camera system through the Level 1 Equipment Group for the first time.
The Rebel also receives the new Satin Black Symbol of Protest badge.
Powertrain choices continue to give buyers plenty of flexibility, including Hurricane and HEMI power depending on configuration.
2027 Ram 1500 RHO Crew Cab 4×4 in Goldilocks. (Ram).
RHO – Starting At $77,790
The Ram 1500 RHO returns for 2027 with several noteworthy updates.
Its 3.0-liter Hurricane H.O. continues to produce 540 horsepower and 521 lb.-ft. of torque, giving the truck more than enough power for both high-speed desert running and normal daily driving.
For 2027, Ram is adding a new Popular Equipment Group priced at $2,995. The package includes the massive 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen and premium 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
The RHO also gets Ram’s 360-degree surround-view camera system as standard equipment.
Another small but fun update can be found on the tailgate, where Ram has redesigned the RHO badge to incorporate a new rhino-head motif.
The RHO still makes a lot of sense even with TRX returning. It offers 540 horsepower, long-travel suspension, aggressive widebody styling, and serious off-road capability while starting considerably below the returning TRX SRT.
2027 Ram 1500 Limited Night Edition Crew Cab 4×4 in Molten Red. (Ram).
Limited – Starting At $79,600
The Limited remains one of Ram’s flagship luxury trucks.
Starting at $79,600 including destination, Limited shifts the emphasis from off-road capability toward comfort, technology, and premium materials.
For 2027, the 360-degree surround-view camera system becomes standard equipment.
Ram is also introducing a RamBox delete option on Limited models. The RamBox Cargo Management System is useful for customers who want lockable storage built into the bedside, but it also takes up some space inside the pickup box.
Allowing buyers to delete it gives customers who regularly haul larger items access to maximum bed width.
2027 Ram 1500 Limited Longhorn Crew Cab 4×4 in Granite Crystal. (Ram).
Limited Longhorn – Starting At $80,095
The Limited Longhorn continues to offer its own take on the premium pickup.
Starting at $80,095 including destination, it shares much of its equipment with the Limited but keeps the Western-inspired styling and interior treatment that has made the Longhorn distinctive for years.
For 2027, the surround-view camera system becomes standard, while the new RamBox delete option gives Longhorn customers the same ability to maximize bed width.
The Longhorn remains a unique truck because its leather, trim, stitching, and Western-inspired detailing give it an identity all its own.
2027 Ram 1500 Tungsten Crew Cab 4×4 in Diamond Black. (Ram).
Tungsten – Starting At $91,995
At the top of the regular luxury lineup is the Ram 1500 Tungsten.
Starting at $91,995 including destination, Tungsten isn’t trying to hide what it is. This is a luxury vehicle that happens to have a pickup bed.
The Tungsten continues to offer features such as 24-way power-adjustable front seats with heating, ventilation, memory, and massage functions, reclining rear seats, premium interior materials, a 10.25-inch front passenger display, and an available 23-speaker Klipsch® Reference Premiere audio system.
Power comes from the 3.0-liter Hurricane H.O., producing 540 horsepower and 521 lb.-ft. of torque.
At nearly $92,000 before adding options, it certainly isn’t cheap, but Tungsten exists for buyers who want nearly everything Ram can put into a half-ton pickup.
2027 Ram 1500 TRX SRT Bloodshot Night Edition in Spitfire Orange. (Ram).
TRX SRT – Starting At $102,790
Then there is the 2027 Ram 1500 TRX SRT.
This is the truck a lot of Ram enthusiasts have been waiting to see return.
The supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 now produces 777 horsepower and 680 lb.-ft. of torque, making the returning TRX the fastest and most powerful production V8 off-road pickup truck.
For the first time, TRX also officially wears the SRT badge.
Starting at $99,995 before destination, the TRX comes to $102,790 including the $2,795 destination charge.
It is officially a six-figure truck now, but nobody ever bought a TRX because it was practical. The appeal has always been how excessive it is.
2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee 5.7 in Ceramic Gray. (Ram).
Where Is The Rumble Bee?
One thing buyers won’t find in the updated standard Ram 1500 Build & Price tool yet is the new Rumble Bee family.
The Rumble Bee lineup is officially part of the 2027 Ram 1500 program, but Ram has not added those models to the public configurator at the time of this writing.
Four variants are planned, with three different HEMI V8 powertrains and a new widebody Quad Cab, 5-foot 7-inch bed configuration.
The lineup will range from the 5.7-liter HEMI-powered Rumble Bee through 392 models and ultimately the 777 horsepower Rumble Bee SRT.
So while the standard 2027 DT configurator is finally online, there is still more coming.

Ram’s Configurator Finally Catches Up
Ram certainly isn’t known for being the fastest automaker when it comes to updating its Build & Price configurators.
Sometimes, it feels like enthusiasts and dealers know more about the next model year from order guides before Ram’s public website gets around to acknowledging it.
But the 2027 Ram 1500 configurator is finally here.
And with so many engines, trims, colors, appearance packages, off-road packages, luxury features, and performance models available this year, the configurator is probably more useful now than it has been in a long time.
Just don’t be surprised when the price at the bottom of the screen looks considerably different from the starting MSRP once you finish building your dream truck.
