On Sept. 3, representatives with Chevyland reported that Jamarce Montrel Roberson failed to return a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado valued at approximately $51,000.
Investigators learned the dealership loaned the truck to Roberson on Aug. 3 while his personal vehicle was being repaired. His vehicle was reportedly ready for pickup later that same day, but Roberson allegedly failed to return the Silverado and stopped communicating with the dealership.
Police say at one point Roberson claimed he was hospitalized, but the truck continued accumulating mileage. With the help of OnStar, officers located and attempted to stop the Silverado near Line Avenue and Pierremont Road.
The driver allegedly fled, leading officers on a brief pursuit before abandoning the truck in the 700 block of Rainbow Drive. Officers say they inventoried the vehicle and found multiple personal items bearing Roberson’s name.
Police say two small baggies of suspected cocaine were also recovered from the driver’s door area. Detectives later contacted Roberson requesting an interview, which he declined.
An arrest warrant was issued for Roberson, who faces charges of Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Illegal Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance.

The SPD urges anyone with information on Young’s whereabouts to contact them at 318-673-7300.
