Been trying to find a way to carry these comfortably. I prefer to have my keys on a belt loop, tucked in my back pocket, but my key fob is always getting in the way. Feels too lumpy in my front pocket, and I always forget about it if I just keep it in my bag or coat, and I'd rather not bring my edc bag to work (already have a bag for work and two bags just feels cumbersome).

Why is my life so much harder than everybody else's? lol

Oh yeah, list (for the rules):

Car key fob

Leather key holder thing

  2. My boyfriend has a car with a keyfob which we do need the fob to open the car (press a button) but we don’t need it to start he car, like it can be anywhere close. So that just lives either in my bad or on one of my belt loops on my pants. My own car key I do need to start the car so that has a small lanyard for easy grabs from the bag.

  3. I was struggling with how to carry keys a while ago. I needed frequent access and was tired of digging in my pocket for them. If I dangled them from a belt loop they clinked when I walked, which annoyed me.

I ended up shortening the system so less movement was possible. I found the tactical key ring holder kept the ring secure while allowing easy access standing or seated. https://aaapolicesupply.com/zt54-tactical-key-ring-holder-1-75-belts/

I’m not sure I understand the problem. I clip mine on to my work bag which is in the car with me when I need it for the car to start, and out of the car with me when I don’t want it to start…

I carry all of my “pocket items” in a small 1.5L sling. Bulky keys/fob are a non-issue and have a dedicated pocket.

I keep mine completely separate from the rest of my keys with it’s own lanyard. I feel like it’s less annoying that way.

I replaced mine with a keyport and ditched the buttons.

My newer car I just use my phone instead of keys

It just dangles on a d ring on a belt loop….. if I’m at work it’s on a belt loop with the keys in my rear right booty pocket and not clinking and clacking when I walk.

Key fob on belt loop, house keys in truck

  10. Detached from everything. I hate carrying keys so it’s the only one I have on me. All other ones have a storage place in the car or at home

Up your butt . You eventually learn to open the doors by just clenching .

Back pocket for keys will never be comfortable. Go front pocket and move your phone to your back pocket.
