I found these multi tools in my dad’s stuff and wd40’d them, but neither works for me. I had to make a tool (bent picture hanger) bc I can’t pry the tools out with my flimsy nails. No idea on specific models- the red one says “stainless china” on the blade and the other is schrade.
I want to buy 1-2 tools, mostly for foraging and basic homestead type stuff. I need a pliers based tool, serrated blade, scissors, replaceable scalpel or xacto, and file. I also need a small second pair of pliers for fixing kid jewelry.
I’m mainly considering the roxon flex. I really want a victorinox SAK bc I think they’re cool, but I’m concerned the tools will be hard to open. For extra pliers, I was thinking of grabbing the roxon mini pliers and keeping them loose or getting a SAK with mini pliers. What can the mini scissors on these tools actually cut without being damaged?
Also open to other suggestions. Thanks!

The Roxons have a way to deploy the tools really easily, as do the Leatherman FREE Series.

That “swiss army knife” is not authentic, and is impossible to open.
Get a Victorinox Swiss Army Knife – particularly if you get a typical 91mm model like a Huntsman, it will open just fine, The 93mm Alox models might look nicer but they are harder to open. You owe it to yourself to see what a real one is like
