I just got my SFT70 4000k from Kaidomain delivered, and I reflowed them into about the only light I have that could make good use of them as a test… the KR1AA.

I am not impressed with the tint. The CCT is indeed close to 4000k, but the DUV is positive.

It just ends up being the yellowy 4000k I dislike, rather than a nice slightly rosy 4000k like the LHP531 or LHP73B. I think the SFT70 5000k is just better than the SFT70 4000k.

Throw was not really better than a D3AA with SFT25R either.

I got my friend into the hobby finally with an EC150, now I want to get him a little throwyish light, how’s this one do?

Only one he’s seemed interested in so far is the T6, but he liked this design

Thank you for posting this, I really want Luminous to release high CRI variants of their 4000k SFT emitters. And I was hoping the 4000k SFT-70 wouldn’t be too bad but I guess I will wait for ones similar to their 4000k SST-20.

Definitely doesn’t appear to be an FA3 chromaticity bin like Kaidomain is claiming.
