Currently looking to upgrade my wallet. Currently between these three:
Ridge Basecamp Orange Daily Writer Kit (wallet, key-case, pen)
Ekster Juniper Green Wallet
Double Oak Essentials Bifold Wallet
I was curious to hear people’s opinions on these, or if they could recommend similar wallets.

Personally Etsy I believe is the place to go, hand made full grain leather wallets, I’ve had mine for 7 years now
I’ve used the ridge wallet and key fob and can recommend them.
I’m currently using the lorzor slim tactical wallet and a skeletool as a key fob as my edc. I can recommend this combo as well.
Check out secrid wallets. Specifically the secrid band wallet. $109 but great quality and worth it in my opinion.
I’ve had a ridge for 14 years or so. I like it, but have since replaced as my cards were getting black smudges from the wallet. I bought a. Ekster but did not like the le as ther sections as it was too floppy. I ended with a groove life waller as I like how its slide function displays my carried cards.
I cant speak to the first two amazon ones but I did buy an off brand ridge to see if I liked that style. Hated it. I don’t like having all my cards in one place and I prefer to have my cash enclosed, as opposed to clipped.
If you like leather+metal you should check out Dango. Ive had one of their wallets(dont rmbr which specific one) for about 4 years now and It looks better than when I got it. Tons of options and great quality. No elastic or plastic parts.
These all make me cringe but that’s personal preference. If I were to say look at different things there’s Makr leather and Chums
I have been using an Ekster for years and I love it. Very slim in the pocket and carries exactly the amount of cards I need. I almost never have cash though and it’s not great for that, being limited to just the elastic band to hold bills. If you carry cash regularly, the Bifold is probably a better bet, but it’s thicker. I’m convinced everyone that says they like the Ridge wallet is either doing so ironically or straight up trolling. I would genuinely take a rubber band over a Ridge wallet. Some of their other stuff is nice though, if a little overpriced.
When in doubt, buy a cheap Amazon knockoff of all three and see which one you like best, then buy the nice version.
I just ordered a Mitchell Money Clip per the recommendation of the wallets subreddit since my old minimal Herschel fell apart. Arrives Saturday and can’t wait to try it out.
Ridge never really did it for me since I have to carry a lot of cash, and they shred my pants.
