I prefer Deep Red, it is 660nm and a more Ruby Red color
the csnml1 red is 617nm and looks slightly more Orange (but it does make more lumens if that matters most to you)

I have the SST-20DR in a brass Convoy T6 and it’s amazing, More than plenty bright, very nice monochromatic deep red light, works great for maintaining night vision, plenty of throw but also very floody to use in both close and far ranges and even looks great in lower modes.
Can’t comment on the Osram one but the SST-20DR gets a big recommendation from me, great emitter!
