I gave the Mini Adamas 273‑03 a fair shot, but with my hand size it just wasn’t doing it. Great action, great scales, but it felt undersized and looked even smaller in hand (yes, it is a mini, but from my research it seemed mixed as to whether size would actually be acceptable).
Picked up the full‑size Adamas 275GY‑1 and… yeah. That’s the one. The weight feels purposeful, the ergonomics lock in, and it actually carries surprisingly well for a knife with this much presence. Zero pocket crowding issues for me.
The Mini is going back in the box… not because it’s a bad knife, but because it’s going to make a great first “real” knife for my son one day.
