Just finished working on this Socom Bravo Mini, and I’m calling this one "Verdigris."

My goal was to achieve an "ancient artifact" look, blending aged textures with rich metallic tones. Here is the process:

The Base: Anodized the scales and clip in a deep teal.

The Texture: Hand-stonewashed the teal base to create that weathered, worn-in feel.

The Layering: Applied a dark gold ano over the stonewash to catch the edges and highlights.

The Details: Finished the collars (pivot rings) and backspacer in matching dark gold for contrast.

The result is this "antique" aesthetic that feels like something recovered from an ancient shipwreck, but with all the precision of a Microtech. The way the gold play against the distressed teal gives it so much depth.

What do you guys think of this weathered look?

Very nice. I just traded my regular version to a guy on the swap and he tried to say it was defective because he couldn’t figure out how to open it. Even though I made a video showing exactly how 🤦🏻‍♂️
