Been traveling with these two lately and this combo has turned out to be way more useful than I expected.

The Olight handles the wide, easy, everyday stuff really well. Walking around town, inside the hotel, quick use in a room, finding things in a bag, general low-effort lighting — it just makes sense.

The little Weltool is the fun part, but also the one that surprised me most. On dark village roads with almost no street lights, it gives a very clear sense of direction and distance for such a small light. It does not look aggressive, does not take up space, and is easy to bring on a trip without thinking too much about it.

What I like most is that neither of them feels “too much” for travel. One gives me comfortable flood, the other gives me reach and confidence. Together they cover basically everything I actually ran into on this trip.

Funny thing is, I own bigger and stronger lights, but these are the ones I actually want to carry.

  1. Rad! Now that I’ve learned more about various makers, buttons and form factors.

I’m really considering a AA/14500 light to pocket carry or throw in a vehicle. Or a AAA/10440.

I’ve mostly got Hank lights because I love the design, quality, service, interface and everything else.

No offence to others. Simon is great too! I have a few Convoys. Same great quality and service.
