Just got my first mini and after a couple days and many hours of flicking I got it to freedrop and glide perfectly with minimal blade play. I just bought some of those cheap aliexpress micarta scales to replace with and I don’t want to lose the smoothness/ blade play I’ve acquired. Does anyone know if i’ll have to restart the break in period or have any tips on adjusting to get those things perfect?

honestly i have no clue how the aliexpress scales will do, but to take a guess id say the tolerances in how they machine them arent as good compared to RGT or AWT scales so probably not the best scales to get, keep me updated on how they are though, remember benchmade likes to use locktite alot, make sure u get urself some nice bits before disassembling the knife so you dont strip any
