A bit of a break in the rain, caught 10 whole minutes of sun on my back & decided to memorialize it

    Contents:

    – Radtel RT-950 Pro ham radio
    – Steel Warrior congress knife w/ serrations mod
    – Gordon Multi-tool
    – Rite Edge pruning knife
    – casual try stick
    – Camillus Ergon

Pretty much all just budget stuff today. The tools all together probably cost about as much as the radio, but I gotta say I like every one of them…they jumped into my pockets over the several hours while I walked around fixing stuff.

I thought the report of rain would fizzle out, but it turned into a pretty nice storm here…

Feels like I’m hearing about a traffic accident or downed power line every five minutes on the radio…

All air ambulances declining due to weather…well that sucks.

I ended up on home maintenance patrol, unclogging gutters, pruning heavy branches that were leaning on electric lines, etc etc.

Watched the movie: Backcountry (2014) – A couple goes backpacking, they get lost, and then they end up with a bear problem. LOL this movie is not bad in general…except it’s really hard on the EDC brain. If you haven’t seen it, you’ll probably be screaming for sanity as an EDC hobbyist.

On the side, I’ve been thinking about which of my fixed knives fit into that “bushcraft” category. You know? You can do bushcraft with a hatchet and a SAK, or just a SAK, but now it’s turned into something more like a category of fixed-blade knife. This camillus I got for $10 is a pretty good fit.

    Have a great day everybody
