I got in my two Firefly E12 Eclipses, fully intending to mod them with my stockpile of LEDs. They started as SFT25R 6500k 70 CRI and FFL351A 5000k. They were not bad LEDs, just not awesome.
I swapped in SFT25R 5700k 90 CRI and FFL351A 4500k. The guts are largely the same as the E12R, so I would imagine old MCPCBs and optics appear compatible too. It looks like the tail spring has a button contact upgrade. … and obviously Lume10.
The SFT25R 90 CRI is not quite as throwy as the original 70 CRI, but still more than the FFL351A. It seems to outthrow my E04 with SFT40 4000k on turbo, and look better while doing it.
The FFL351A 4500k rosy bin is special. It is a JLHawaii exclusive. This was the second run that is actually close to around 4300k-4400k, whereas his first run which was not quite as good was closer to 4900k. These are stunning and the first time I have modded them into anything. I like these more than the 3700k rosy bin, which I have also tried mixing with the 4900k to produce a similar CCT, but it didn't come out quite this perfect, although still nice. This JLHawaii 4500k is my favorite FFL351A bin, no contest.
Lume10 turbo appears noticeably brighter than Lume1 E12R, but dependent on battery current. Probably doesn't make that much a difference with a very rosy LED like FFL351A 3700k, and I still like my E12R with those, but the 4500k variant wins on tint alone.
