Never in my life did I think a potato would break a knife, but here we are!
I was helping with a family dinner, grabbed one of their knives, start cutting… and the handle literally snaps. Funniest part is I bought them a Shun a couple years ago and somehow this is what made it into the rotation.
Moral of the story, don't cheap out and get it full tang!

That’s a horrible knife for a least a few reasons. You don’t have to spend much to make a substantial upgrade. It will make kitchen more enjoyable.
