I modified my Olight Warrior Mini 3, swapping the SFT40 3000K LED for an LHP531 4000K LED.
The light once came with SFT40 6500k.
I wanted more flood than the SFT and higher efficiency.
Tint comparison L to R:
Wurkkos TS21 SST20 4000k;
Olight Warrior mini 3 LHP531 4000k;
Convoy S3 XHP 50.3Hi R70 4000k;
Sofirn SC18 mod SFT40 3000k.
I did the entire mod using only a soldering iron, without a hot plate. I’m very happy with the result, but it took a long time because I had issues with the built-in bounce sensor. Using a workaround, I managed to keep the sensor working after the mod.
The tint is very nice, slightly rosy, and the flashlight is now noticeably brighter than with the SFT40 3000K 95CRI. Now it’s my almost perfect EDC light!
