I’ve been using the TS28 for a while now and wanted to share a more detailed impression, because it really stands out in its price range.

The first impression is very solid. The machining is clean, no sharp edges, even anodizing, and overall it feels like a high-quality piece of gear. At 175 g and 36 mm head / 129 mm length, it sits nicely in the hand — large enough for proper heat management and performance, but still very practical for everyday carry.

One detail I ended up using more than expected is the magnetic tailcap. When working, in the basement, around a car, or anytime you need both hands free, it’s extremely useful.

Technically, the TS28 is very strong for its size:

• Max Output: 3200 lumens

• Beam Distance: approx. 506 meters

• Intensity: 64,000 candela

• Battery: 21700 Li-Ion, 5000 mAh

• Charging: USB-C, 5V / 3A

• Charge Time: approx. 2 hours 40 minutes

• Water Resistance: IPX8

• Drop Resistance: 1.5 meters

The mode spacing is well thought out.

Eco (3 lm, up to ~330 hours) is perfect for emergency use, map reading, or constant low light.

Low (45 lm, up to ~72 hours) works well for short distances, indoor use, or close-range tasks.

Medium (250 lm, up to ~13.75 hours) is a very practical everyday level for outdoor use, walking, or general work.

High (950 lm → 400 lm → 250 lm, step-down regulated) already provides a lot of usable light for area illumination and mid-range distance.

Turbo (up to 3200 lm → 1950 lm → 400 lm → 250 lm, temperature regulated) is there when maximum output is needed for short bursts of distance or wide-area lighting.

What I especially like is that the TS28 is not a pure thrower and not a pure flooder. The beamshots clearly show that it lights up wide areas while still having enough focus for distance. For forest paths, larger open areas, or searching at range, it’s a very practical balance.

Thermally, the behavior also feels well tuned. Turbo hits hard initially and then steps down in a predictable way without feeling like the light suddenly collapses in brightness.

When you put everything into perspective with the price, it becomes really interesting. Many lights with comparable output and features are well above the 100 € range. Here you get modern specs (21700 battery, USB-C charging, high output, strong beam distance) at a much lower price point.

Conclusion:

For me, the TS28 is a very well-rounded light with no major weaknesses. Good build quality, strong performance numbers, practical features like the magnetic tailcap and USB-C charging, combined with very strong value for money. Definitely worth a look for everyday use, outdoor activities, and general purpose lighting.

Great review and a fantastic light in use!💪

I have one myself and absolutely love it. I have some SFT-70 3000K on the way that I’m planning to swap the cold 6500K out with, but I’m a bit worried about losing too much output, we’ll have to see.

I would love it even more with a slightly warmer CCT.🔥
