Verified on a 62.7 HRC Verification Block.
Note: I am currently working on an ASTM E384 Microhardness sample using 2 Ozark Trail D2 blades. I am going to be running a traverse from the edge to the core, and compare the values I get. This test was inspired by Outdoors55 findings on burnt edges among these Ozark D2 blades. There will be a full detailed write up of my findings later today.
