Hey everyone just found this page. I’ve been collecting pocket knives for probably 10 years now and been on Reddit even longer. Until today I never thought to look if there was a good knife sub lmao!
Anyways, a running theme in my collection has been pocket knives with unique opening and locking mechanisms. I’ve been looking to keep that trend going but can’t decide on any cool new mechanically interesting knives.
So far I have: a few Emerson wave mechanisms, a couple side flippers, a slide lock, a few assisted, a slip joint, multiple regular folders (with thumb studs, nail notches, etc), a hidden mechanism automatic I can’t really describe (I’ll add a video), and I sold my old OTF.
Can anybody here provide some recommendations for knives with unconventional opening/locking mechanisms, blade shapes, designs, etc? I’m basically looking for anything that would make you say: “whoa”. I am in PA and my max budget would be $125ish for something really cool.
Thanks for any suggestions!
