So I was walking by a yard sale and I noticed they had a few knives laying around and I found this one here and was able to pick it up for $30. I hope it made the right choice because when I try and look it up online i honestly really do not find any info on it. I've found a couple pictures but nothing with the name of the knife or even a model #, I can't seem to even find how much this MACTOOLS Gerber knife would even cost? So im really hoping that someone here can help me identifying this blade and what the MSRP was/is for it as well. Im just hoping that I didn't stumble across a counterfeit(im only thinking that since I can't seem to find anything about it).. I like to think i won on this deal

No idea what they originally cost, but you can look up Gerber 5978 and find other examples but almost none with a Mac tools logo on it. Not sure if that would add or subtract from the value but you did quite well.
Looks well made. I guess it was probably pretty expensive. if the handle feels like it’s solid then I think you got it an excellent deal. Not sure what it would have cost new. 150-275 with sheath maybe.
