Yeah I would. If you search sale items on a lot of knife retailers’ sites you’ll see lots of knives that have been retuned for similar reasons. You pay a lot and expect a lot – make them deliver. 🙂

Hard to tell if it’s a blemish in the coating or the actual aluminum. Bottom line though, it is a defect. Even if it’s just the coating, if it’s gonna bother you then return it. No big deal, if BHQ accepts it. If not I’ll bet that Microtech would like to take a look at it.

That looks like an internal defect that was exposed during machining.
