My old Fenix PD35 that I hung up on the outside of the house for easy access, only lasted 4 years outside in the elements – water got inside the lens and wouldn't light up anymore. It was supposed to be IP68 rated. I now bought a new PD35 (version 3.0) and placed it in the same spot and let's see how tough this thing is. This is NC weather – so not too cold, but lots of humidity heat, and thunderstorms.

Why?
I like the cut of your jib
You need to maintain the seals with new ones and lubrication. It does come out of the factory at ip68 but doesn’t stay that way for long depending on conditions.
If it’s anywhere close to my pd30 and pd32’s then it’s not Guna have a single issue with this.
At some point, you just need a diving light.
