X9LS Head Teardown

Finally got around to gutting the rest of it.

Plenty more threadlocker on the driver retaining ring (lens spanners rock – Lumintop’s laser cut tool didn’t stand a chance at breaking that loose).

Driver appears to be 7 + FET (please correct me if I’m wrong), which means hopefully the no-name IC is an 8-bit micro of some kind (Sonix makes some in that package). We’ll see what sort of luck I have talking to it.

I haven’t been able to find a detailed teardown on one of these anywhere, so hopefully this is useful to someone else too.
