I have a KR1 and is seems to run a long time on a battery compared to a 70.3 or a 519a. Is it more lumens per consumed power than other emitters? Can’t be, right? I mean it is high CRI so it must be inefficent.

IIRC it’s just a tiny bit more efficient than the 519a, but it also can’t get nearly as bright and always has a boost driver so it stands to reason that it runs longer. The B35AM smokes at much over 2 amps so Hanks limits how much power it gets. You’re just not noticing the difference in max brightness for your usage, I think.

I know it’s a 6v emitter so it has to use the boost driver which is more efficient than the linear driver. I also know the B35AM has its output capped in the firmware (there was an issue awhile back with the emitters actually burning from too much power).
