So i just got this Leatherman charge+ TTI after having returned my cheaper model for having the same issue.. its hard to show the extent of the handle play with one hand, but im sure this is good enough.. would you keep returning the tool until you get one that isn’t this loose or would you just try to tighten the top screws?
I have googled a bunch but i find very few people with the same complaint, yet 3 out of 3 charges i’ve had has been like this

Seems that your pliers are loose allready and i could say its better than stiff pliers. Take hold opposite handle and opposite plier head and wiggle up down to see is loosenes on pliers or screws.
It’s normal. Not sure why it’s so prevalent on the TTI models. Even on my older TTI from 2007 does it. Doesn’t seem to affect integrity when handles are flipped open.
