Found myself not carrying the Arc so did some experimenting. The diamond file and bit driver fit perfectly on the knife side. Of course the file needed cut down about 1/4 inch. Even swaps were made for the Arc’s large flat head/pry bar/scraper, and better awl imo. Chose to have a phillips/flat multibit in the T4 for flexibility, while the Skeletool carries a PH1 & 2 bit, and double bit of smaller flat sizes.
I have a back story of why and how I got to this point VS carrying a full size plier based tool like I used to, but it’s boring and irrelevant.
Setting cost aside, this set up has many benefits.
No bulky sheath on my belt. The Skeletool in back pocket and T4 in front. Due to the weight being distributed I can barely tell either are there.
I have all the tools I ever need and a decent main blade.
Gain access to TWO bit drivers with THREE bits on hand.
I can use the pliers to hold materials while I use any of the T4 tools such as scissors, file or awl. This alone is a huge underrated advantage.
Gain a rubber mallet-like “hammer head”. To me it’s more useful than metal which can scratch things (I use this type hammer head to push/nudge things into place…not hammer nails)
If I want to carry one of my Spyderco blades for the day, I can leave behind the Skeletool but still have a perfectly usable set of tools on the T4. Or the opposite, I can carry the Skeletool alone and be happy with the basics.
After a couple weeks of trial, I don’t think I could ever go back to a belt sheath even after 12 years of daily carry. Possibly *because* I carried like that for so long is why I now find it annoying?

Love my t4. Gets way more pocket time than my wave.
