hey y’all, got the timbuk2 new classic for my bday in oct and i’m having some issues with the strap that goes over your shoulder. my strap is SO LONG and i can’t figure out how to orient it so it’s not flapping about? even if i tuck it under the elastic it’s still… ridiculous.

do y’all have advice or images of how you have situated the strap? i tried googling this but i must be the only person on the planet that can’t figure this out 😩

If I knew I would not likely need the extra length there, I’d cut it and resew the end. If you don’t want to do that, fold it up and tuck the end into the elastic strap right there.

I can’t see how that strap system works, but is there a way to lengthen the slack on one side and pull it up on this long side? I’ve seen that on some bags I’ve owned.

ok: i solved it. where the strap attaches to the bag on both sides is a buckle that allows you to cinch more strap. its so well designed i didn’t know it was cinchable AND there are pockets to hide the extra strap. managed to get it just right so the leftover strap when quick-adjusting the length is perfect.

appreciate you jumping in – i was also wondering if i would have to cut and re-sew but SURELY there must be a different solution! glad i found it 😌
